Job Summary:
This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting packages for accuracy, documenting and tracking inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The Material Handler will assist with moving raw materials to the production area as well as moving finished goods to the yard. Duties Receive packages, materials, and supplies from carriers and other departments. Verify the accuracy of shipments by checking the quantity and quality of items against the accompanying documentation. Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties. Unpack, label and organize received items for storage or immediate use. Review shipping orders, invoices, or requisitions to determine items to be shipped and their destinations. Select appropriate packaging materials and methods based on the nature of the items being shipped. Pack items securely to prevent damage during transportation. Generate shipping labels, BOL's, documents, and other necessary paperwork. Review shipping orders, invoices, or requisitions to determine items to be shipped and their destinations. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least two years' related experience is required Sit down Forklift experience Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including familiarity with shipping software or inventory management systems. Basic computer skills, including proficiency using spreadsheets and word processing software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions Prolonged periods of working in a warehouse and production facility. Prolonged and frequent exposure to outside elements. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
