We are looking for an experienced, non-CDL delivery driver with a clean driving record and valid Texas driver's license who will also help in the warehouse when deliveries are not being made. The deliveries are made with a flatbed pickup within the greater San Antonio and Austin areas, and will occasionally require pulling a 20-ft over-axle flatbed trailer. On days with deliveries, the driver will leave around 8:00 am and be back before lunch at noon. Most deliveries are palletized and unloaded by the customer's equipment, but hand-unloading is necessary on occasion. When the driver returns, the expectation will be to assist with pulling orders to prepare for freight, UPS, or customer pickup, as well as maintaining the facilities and grounds. The warehouse staff works in the same space, but each employee will be expected to work on their own once they are trained. As a small company, we pride ourselves on a high level of self-sufficiency and the ability to train staff across areas, so some cleaning, landscaping, etc. is included. Our industry is specialized, but direct experience is not required. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding work ethic, the willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively should issues arise. The physical demands of the job are moderate. Warehouse/Facilities tasks include lifting up to 50 LB at times, but typically under 20 LB, and standing for extended periods of times. There will also be situations where you may have to climb onto the bed of the truck. Work hours are M-F 8-5 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. No weekends, no evenings.
