Job Description

Overview Join our team to support a local communications factory here in the Forest, VA area. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training for positions including shipping, receiving, bulk warehouse, and more. The ideal candidate for this position will be adaptable to change as they will be working in multiple areas throughout the factory. The ability to be trained and work well with others is a must. Responsibilities Support daily operations across Shipping, Receiving, and Bulk Warehouse areas as needed. Safely load, unload, move, stage, and organize materials, products, and supplies. Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, condition, and documentation. Prepare finished goods and materials for shipment according to customer and company requirements. Pull, stage, and deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory locations and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory. Keep warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Complete shipping and receiving paperwork, inventory transactions, and other required documentation accurately. Provide coverage for other warehouse positions during breaks, absences, vacations, or periods of increased workload. Adjust priorities throughout the day based on production and shipping/receiving needs. Maintain a dependable attendance record and demonstrate flexibility to work in different warehouse areas. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment; forklift certification preferred or required within a specified training period. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required by the job. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse/inventory management systems. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production and warehouse needs. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential. Willingness to work in multiple warehouse areas and perform a variety of duties throughout the shift. Pre-Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening. This position is subject to federal drug-free workplace requirements. Candidates must meet all applicable federal drug-free workplace requirements and pass the required drug screening prior to employment and/or access to the facility.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
