Full Time Position Overview The Warehouse Material Handler will receive, store, organize, and deliver products to meet our field construction team's project schedule needs.
These activities include:
assist with scheduling receiving materials and confirming conformance, storing materials per manufacturers requirements, managing inventories, assembling material orders from the field, loading/driving/offloading trucks, coordinating deliveries with field teams, equipment inspections, record keeping, QC control, housekeeping, organization of the warehouse, assist coordinating daily shop floor activities, assist coordinating facility upkeep or repair activities and assisting with remote storage location setup/organization. Location This distribution center is located in Virginia Beach, VA Responsibilities Requires discretionary judgment, deductive reasoning, procedural and interpersonal skills. Maintain high customer service levels (On-Time & Delivered in Full per requests). Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency to meet or exceed business objectives. Receive/offload/store all material/tooling deliveries at warehouse, Ferry Rd MEC Office and Ferry Rd CTJV Office. Inspect deliveries of material and tooling compared to packing lists, purchase orders and approved submittals for compliance. Ensure proper material storage, protection and inspection of all received items per manufacturers' requirements. Warehouse Inventory Ticket (WIT) pulling, packaging and delivery to support field schedule needs. Coordinate deliveries with field staff to ensure the correct items are delivered to the correct locations at the correct times. Planning and implementing warehouse and remote field location layout, storage and shelving setup/adjustments to support current and future inventory needs. Ensure and maintain the safety and overall cleanliness at all storage locations for safe and efficient operational support. Perform regularly scheduled warehouse and remote field storage location cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory in the SAP system. Inspection of equipment (forklifts and trucks) for safe/efficient operation and maintenance. Assist with development of warehouse schedules: Daily (Play of Day), 3-Week and 90-Day. Assist coordinating warehouse, Island 1 and Island 2 office facilities upkeep and repair activities. Qualifications 3 years of supervisory experience. 10 years of warehouse operations experience, preferably in an industrial distribution environment (wire and cable experience is a plus). Experience with SAP software. Good communication and organizational skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Forklift skills a must for training. Requires good written and verbal communication skills. Experience in managing a variety of priorities. Problem solving ability. Experience in dealing directly with freight carriers. Ability to relate to all departments inside and outside. Customer first mentality.

Base Compensation:
