Qualifications:
- Understanding of basic math skills
- adding, subtracting, and measuring.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards.
Responsibilities:
Shipping:
Pick items per shipping order- Read the shipping order and understand the different product and quantities needed to fulfill the order. Build Pallets per order
- Understand how many cartons per pallet based on customer needs. Wrap Pallets
- Wrap pallets from top to bottom ensuring the pallet stability. Weigh Pallets
- Put pallets on scale and record weight on the shipping paperwork appropriately. Prep Shipping Paperwork
- Fill-out the final details of the shipping paperwork to include number of pallets, weight of each pallet and dimensions. Loading Trucks
- Load pallets onto truck utilizing forklift and pallet jack as needed. Return BOL to Office once Shipped
- Return carrier signed BOL by end of day that the shipment was picked-up.
Receiving:
Prep Packing List and Space- Understand what product is expected and prepare the appropriate space in the warehouse to hold the arrival of raw material. Unload Containers
- Utilize the forklift as needed to unload raw materials. Palletize Material for Storage
- Place raw materials on pallets to protect from potential damage. Check and Confirm Packing List
- Confirm each item received for quantity and product number. Compare to the Receiving Pack List and notate any discrepancies. Submit Completed Receiving Paperwork to the Office
- When receiving paperwork has been confirmed, turn into the Office as soon as completed.
