You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the receiving, storing, and inventory within the vending warehouse backroom for all of the Navy Exchange Vending team. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer
  • our Military patrons and their families.
So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? o Unloads loads vehicles checks incoming shipments for spoilage or damage o Receives invoice from vendor on merchandise ordered checks against report of goods received RGR to ensure items and quantity ordered are received o Responsible for pulling product and staging loading onto vending trucks Micro Market routes to minimize driver downtime. o Conducts monthly inventory of merchandise supplies. o Operates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties.
The Qualifiers:
o Must possess a valid state driver's license or a valid commercial driver's license CDL o Must be U.S. Citizen o Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely. o Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance etc. o Pass the GSA defensive driving course The Benefits begin

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One 1 year of experience that provided the applicant with knowledge and skill to carry out basic retail services selling duties.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
One 1 year of experience that provided the applicant with the knowledge and skill to perform various duties involving stocking merchandise, transfers, receiving, merchandising of product and or food handling processes within a retail or services environment.
