The Information Technology division for the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) is seeking a IT/Media Warehouse Operator. The Community Colleges of Spokane is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of IT/Media Warehouse Operator in the District Info Technology Department.GENERAL DEFINITION
Reporting to the Information Technology (IT) Project Manager for Quality Assurance, the IT/Media Warehouse Operator will process and delivery parcels to Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) campuses and off-site locations as needed. This position has direct responsibility inspecting and processing parcels, ensuring faculty and staff receive parcels in a timely manner in order to facilitate the educational programs of CCS. This is a non-permanent position with an anticipated end date of 1 year from the start date but can be extended up to 18-months. This position may be converted to a permanent position if future budget and business operational needs arise.CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, unload/load, move and inspect various types of IT and media materials and equipment to deliver items to faculty and staff throughout CCS.- Deliver IT and media equipment and materials to locations throughout CCS, including to and from the central receiving warehouse to staging areas and/or the district office and Head Start locations.
- Plan for deliveries and establish parcel priorities to the campuses.
- Maintain appropriate digital and analog records (e.g., delivery receipts, inventory stock records, etc.) to ensure accurate inventory of items shipped, received and/or installed.
- Model professional decorum and mutual respect in all personal interactions.
- Complies with district policy, procedures and directives, state and federal regulations, orders and statute and collective bargaining agreements.
- Support and advance the CCS strategic plan, and perform related duties as required.
- Indicates this is an essential duty.

) Ability to learn warehouse and inventory control standards. Ability to verify and document materials received and shipped and/or installed, and properly handle materials of a hazardous, toxic, or combustible nature. Ability to read directions and product information and to log data concisely. Physical ability to do required work (see physical requirements below). Acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of students at all times. A demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals, objectives and strategic plan of CCS. The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, and community and technical college system. Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting a teaching, learning, and working environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion.PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
(DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS
) Experience receiving, delivering, and shipping with a large-scale government or commercial warehouse. Forklift certification considered but not required.CONDITIONS/TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
TOTALCOMPENSATION WITH BENEFITS
: $52,429. Total compensation is an estimate based upon adding the following amounts together: Base compensation of $37,152, plus Current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates, plus Click here for a full list of benefits. Median retirement fund contributions. The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices. Person hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. An offer of employment will not carry with it any responsibility or obligation on the part of the District to sponsor an H1-B visa. In addition, the Community Colleges of Spokane maintains a drug-free work environment and prohibits all smoking in the college buildings and state-owned vehicles. Must be able to successfully work in and promote a multicultural work and education environment. Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is active in nature. Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens. Visual focus and strain. Move up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Operates and controls movement of power tools and/or large mechanized, powered and non-powered equipment. Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and twisting. Extension of arms overhead for sustained periods. Requires communication ability necessary to understand instructions and recognize hazardous, unsafe or poisonous materials and/or products. Occasional exposure to fumes, dust, odors and/or biohazards.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Non-permanent; full-time schedule (12-months, 40-hours a week). 6-month probationary period; may be extended up to 12 months. This position is overtime eligible. Proof ofCOVID-19
vaccination. Must possess or complete Hazardous Materials Training Certification within first 2 months of employment. Requires local or regional travel.
