Non-Exempt Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Raw Material Handler to support manufacturing operations through accurate inventory control, material movement, and shop floor coordination. This role requires the ability to work independently, navigate ERP systems, and collaborate across Engineering, Planning, and Production to ensure materials are available when and where they're needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machine shop or manufacturing experience who enjoys problem-solving, ownership, and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and material callouts for complex manufacturing jobs Issue materials to work orders and track usage through the ERP system Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and band saws safely and efficiently Monitor material usage and recommend substitutions or reallocations as needed Research and resolve material discrepancies and transaction issues Act as a liaison between Engineering, Planning, and Production for material-related concerns Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution Train and mentor peers as needed Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow 6S and safety standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop, warehouse, or logistics environment High school diploma or equivalent required Experience with material planning and shop floor support systems Strong computer skills, including ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel Ability to interpret material specifications and make informed substitutions Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions Commitment to safety and inventory accuracy Why Join Us Competitive pay with contract-to-hire opportunity Stable Monday-Friday schedule Hands-on role with autonomy and impact Collaborative manufacturing environment
