POSITION TITLE

General Laborer

I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machinery.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Observe equipment operation so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operator of any malfunctions. Lift raw materials finished products and packed items manually or using hoists. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances. Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill such as supplying or holding materials or tools or cleaning work areas and equipment. Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings or dates and time of production. Cleaning and maintaining work spaces organization. Ensuring safe and clear work environment is maintained Mow, weed eat and spray grounds

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Some experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred but not required. Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work. Ability to work in a team environment and have a desire to assist in various duties and departments as needed. Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen.
