Duration:

Approximately one year, with strong potential for extension (likely 5-6 years) Kelly Services is seeking an experienced EHS Project Manager to support the development of a new biopharmaceutical campus in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to shape environmental programs and waste infrastructure before the facility is built. The EHS Project Manager will lead the owner-side planning and implementation of the site's general solid waste, recycling, vendor-management, and regulatory-compliance programs. This position will work closely with engineering, construction, EH&S, logistics, operations, and external waste vendors to create a sustainable, compliant, and operationally effective program. Key Responsibilities Develop the campus solid waste and recycling program for office, warehouse, packaging, construction, and routine operations. Establish collection points, recycling infrastructure, waste-hauling strategies, diversion targets, and performance metrics. Support zero-waste-to-landfill and plastic recycling/reuse goals. Represent the owner during design reviews involving waste movement, collection areas, dumpsters, compactors, and site logistics. Manage workstream scope, schedule, budget, milestones, risks, and project interfaces. Coordinate waste vendor qualification, contracting, documentation, and performance. Support compliance with RCRA, Virginia DEQ, DOT/IATA, and applicable environmental reporting requirements. Maintain waste flow maps, classification tables, design-basis documents, manifests, logs, and related records. Track and escalate cytotoxic, potent, and BSL-2 waste questions to EH&S and Biosafety until a specialized waste-program resource is hired. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, EHS, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in industrial or commercial solid waste management, recycling, environmental compliance, or hazardous waste logistics. Knowledge of

RCRA, DOT/IATA

shipping requirements, waste documentation, and environmental reporting. Experience developing recycling or waste-diversion programs and managing waste haulers or recycling vendors. Capital-project or workstream-management experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel periodically to Richmond, VA.
