This role is essential to dust control, environmental compliance, site safety, and the professional appearance of active construction projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced working around construction sites and traffic. Key Responsibilities Operate mechanical and/or vacuum street sweeping equipment on construction sites, roadways, parking lots, and access roads Remove dirt, gravel, asphalt grindings, trash, and construction debris from assigned areas Support dust control efforts and applicable SWPPP/environmental requirements Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of sweeping equipment Complete basic cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment Report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately Safely work around traffic, pedestrians, and active construction operations Set up and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades) as required Accurately complete daily work logs, inspection reports, and service records Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and site personnel Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and all roadway regulations Perform additional duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Ability to operate street sweeping or similar construction support equipment Strong awareness of job site safety and traffic control practices Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license required CDL preferred or required depending on equipment Prior street sweeper or construction site experience preferred Experience working in active roadway or construction environments strongly preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Ability to bend, climb, stand, and perform repetitive motions Ability to work on uneven terrain Ability to see clearly in all weather conditions while driving Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, dust, noise, and varying weather conditions What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Steady full-time work Safety-focused work environment Opportunity to grow with a reputable construction services company
