Pay:
Base pay is $16.16/hr. In addition to the base pay the employee will also receive pay in lieu of benefit the following fringe pay per hour: H&W $5.55/hr; Holiday/sick/vacation $2.36/hr. Total effective pay with base pay and fringes is $24.06/hr. Position Description The position is at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center where the employee will: Our contract with the VA requires the employee to work 40 hours each week. The work must be completed weekdays and during day shift. This is a contract position current contract expires December 13, 2026 but will be rebid for another 5 year term. Remove filled containers from bracketed or designated locations within facility Replace filled containers with clean containers on regularly scheduled intervals Transport filled containers to central receiving location within the facility Secure and prepare filled containers for transport to designated disposal facility Responsible for effectively managing and maintaining client inventory Manage and provide appropriate "back up" container inventories at each facility Install new containers and/or remove existing containers on an as needed basis Complete and manage reporting requirements and waste disposal documentation Order new inventory necessary for each facility each week/month Must pass required background check and medical testing prior to employment Complete General Awareness and Security training as required by the DOT within 90 days of hire Become familiar with system installation and facility servicing policies/procedures Report directly to the Customer Service Manager on a regular basis Identify and properly resolve any current or potential regulatory compliance issues
Requirements :
Must be physically fit enough to push a full cart of containers throughout the hospital Extensive walking is required for the job
