Are you a caregiver at heart? Do you have an eye for presentation? Plant husbandry? Cedar Valley Montessori needs your skillset in order for our team to feel complete! Not only will you be our leading professional for building upkeep, but additionally a warm, inviting figure that families and staff will turn to for support, appreciation, and guidance. This position is early mornings 30 hours/week September to May 15-20 hours/week June to August Responsibilities include: Building upkeep: Sanitizing surfaces Taking out garbage Dusting daily Sweeping and mopping hard floors Vacuuming carpeted floors Refilling sanitary products (i.e. soap, toilet paper) Rotating laundry Filling and emptying dishwasher Cleaning Lunchtime preparation: Arranging our Atrium Placing pitchers of milk and water upon their table Refilling silverware as needed Filling water bins Classroom interaction is at your discretion. If considered, this role can potentially involve some overlap with our classroom settings, such as: Partnering with children to gather recyclables Water the plants Sweep, and dust together. This may be done by simple invitation after speaking with their guide. Cedar Valley Montessori has a floater in the building; however, in the case the floater is unavailable to take up a task, that task may be delegated to this role.
