Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused and experienced Night CDL Street Sweeper Driver for the Baton Rouge, La. area. You'll operate mechanical, regenerative air, and vacuum street sweepers across municipal streets, highways, construction sites, parking lots, and commercial properties throughout Louisiana. If you know your way around a broom system, communicate well, and can be trusted to run a route with minimal supervision, this Driver role is built for you. What You'll Do Operate a street sweeper or truck-mounted attenuator safely and efficiently Complete assigned driving routes on schedule and according to work orders. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate driver logs, route reports, and equipment inspection forms. Identify and report mechanical issues immediately. Monitor broom wear, water systems, conveyor systems, and hopper functions. Follow GPS routes and dispatch instructions, and stay in communication with supervisors throughout the shift. Ensure all debris is properly collected and disposed of. Operate safely in traffic, construction zones, and active work areas. Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Represent the company professionally alongside municipalities, contractors, and commercial clients. What We're Looking For We want an experienced street sweeper driver, someone who already understands broom adjustments, water systems, sweeping patterns, construction site cleanup, daily equipment inspections, and municipal route work.
Required:
Previous experience operating a street sweeper or truck-mounted attenuator Experience driving large commercial vehicles Ability to perform daily equipment inspections Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience working night shifts Clean driving record Ability to read maps, GPS routes, and work orders
Preferred:
CDL Class A or B Basic mechanical knowledge Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish) Schedule Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. until job is complete. Some Fridays and weekends as needed.
