Full Job Description Summary:
Advocates and provides quality food service to strengthen and enhance the families and individuals served by Family Services, Inc. (FSI).
Essential Functions:
Prepare Meals and Deliver them to the classrooms. Assist in maintaining classroom meal counts. Make sure all special milk & Water is prepared and in the milk buckets. Assist with stock. Restock all classrooms with supplies as needed. Retrieve carts. Assemble condiments. Empty all bucket and plate buckets. Assist with washing dishes. Wipe off all carts thoroughly. Assist with taking boxes to the dumpsters. Deliver milk buckets. Ensure main classrooms are properly served. Sweep and mop designated area. Wash all dish towels and aprons. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High School diploma required or equivalency. Dedicated to nutrition services; oriented to the concept of the total family. Understanding and acceptance of regional, cultural, religious, and economic differences. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Articulates ideas clearly (both written and oral), listen accurately and establish personal rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds. Maintains dignity and self-control in stressful situations. Objective about personal strengths and limitations. Proven logical, systematic, integrative, conceptualizing thought process.
Expected Hours of Work:
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Maintains physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following: walking, bending, stretching, lifting, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, operating assigned equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds with the ability to handle heavy pots and industrial kitchen equipment. Ability to work flexible/overtime hours, as needed. Requires valid NC driver's license and ability to travel between various agency sites and community resources.
