08/14/2026 12:30 PM Job Description The Village of Airmont is seeking a candidate for our Motor Equipment Operator 1 position.
Job description:
This is work in the operation of a vehicle rated at 26,000 lbs. or less Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Performs a variety of unskilled laboring tasks as required. The work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma Possession of a valid driver's license.

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions Civil service examination requirements have been waived for this position as part of the
NY HELPS
Local program. Candidates must only meet the minimum qualifications for consideration.
