Job Title:

Utility Tree Trimmer

Positions Available:

8 Temporary, Full-Time Positions from 11/05/2026 to 04/15/2027. :

Line Clearance & Tree Trimming:

Cut, trim, and prune trees, limbs, and brush encroaching upon high-voltage power lines and utility rights-of-way to maintain grid integrity and prevent outages.

Equipment Operation:

Safely operate chainsaws, pole saws, pruners, brush chippers, and stump grinders. Utilize climbing gear, rigging equipment, and aerial lift/bucket trucks to access difficult or elevated areas safely around energized conductors.

Emergency & Weather Response:

Clear fallen trees, storm debris, ice-laden branches, and obstructions from roads, access points, and utility easements during inclement weather (including rain, ice, and wind storms) to ensure immediate and safe passage for utility service vehicles.

Site & Right-of-Way Maintenance:

Clear ground brush, pile and chip woody materials, and dispose of vegetation debris in accordance with environmental and safety standards. Maintain clean and accessible utility easements and pathways. Work to be performed for HWY 31 Utilities + Excavation, LLC.

For work to be performed in various cities and towns in Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Smith, Van Zandt Counties, TX.

Training:

Minimal onsite training provided.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Some overtime and weekends required.

Shift:

8-hour workday, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some overtime and weekends required.

Tools and Equipment:

Provided at no cost to workers.

Compensation:

Wage:

$23.65/hour.

Overtime Wage:

$35.48/hour (1.5 times the regular rate).

Frequency of Pay:

Pay Deductions:

The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Optional employer-provided housing available at $50 per week/pay period.

Merit-Based Raises:

Travel and Legal Provisions:

This job order is being placed in connection with a future filing for H-2B labor certification.

Transportation and Subsistence:

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for reasonable transportation and subsistence costs (including meals and, if necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completing the contract or if dismissed early, the employer will pay for return transportation and subsistence to the worker's home or the place the worker originally departed to work, unless the worker voluntarily abandons employment or obtains subsequent employment with another employer. Reimbursement will be equivalent to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.

Meals During Travel:

Workers will be reimbursed for meals at a minimum rate of $16.78/day, up to $68.00/day with receipts.

Visa and Related Fees:

The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees incurred by the worker, as mandated by the government. Passport fees are excluded.

Three-Fourths Guarantee:

The employer guarantees to offer work for at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment contract.

Workers must be eligible to work in the United States and available for the entire employment period.
