The employee will have the responsibility of: Possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license Being able to drive and take care of all cemetery equipment Installing and realigning headstones Assisting at the cemetery shelter to unload and reload caskets and urns Transporting caskets and urns to the final resting place and follows the Veterans Administration and Texas Veterans Land Board regulations for burials in the cemetery Assisting in all areas of the burial process and maintenance of the Veterans Cemetery The work environment will require the employee to: Regularly work near moving mechanical parts in outdoor conditions Exposed to heat, cold, various weather conditions, dirt, and mud Work in areas where pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizer are applied Frequently move/lift 50 pounds to over 100 pounds Exposed to noise levels exceeding 85 dBA for up to eight (8) hours per day As an employee with the city of Killeen some benefits are: Health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX Dental and Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement through TMRS (Optional 4579(b) Accounts) Paid Vacation and Sick Leave 13 paid holidays
