This person will also assist departments by operating heavy equipment.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Know, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements. Ensure that company supplies and equipment is stored correctly and safely. Inspect tools and equipment after use to analyze for any defects or repairs that need to be notified to the supervisor. Document the days and times of what equipment that was worked on. Maintain the cleanliness of equipment by using chemical cleaning supplies. Sweep, dust, and mop work areas. Stock and maintain organization of supply rooms. Communicate with central maintenance team. Follow all health and safety regulations set by voestalpine Texas LLC. Train to operate skid steer, manlift, forklift, water truck, sweeper, hydroblasting equipment and other heavy equipment when requested. Perform Lock Out Tag Out. Shadow coworkers to learn daily routines throughout the plant. Cleaning off areas after task have been completed. Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED. Knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and the use for different equipment. 3 years operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.) strongly preferred.
