The City of Bristol, Virginia has an immediate opening for the position of Solid Waste Equipment Operator I. This position works under the direct supervision of applicable supervisor or job foreman. Duties include operating a variety of construction, grounds maintenance, and operational equipment and vehicles in support of the City Solid Waste Management program. Operates equipment at the City landfill and at operational sites throughout the Waste Management Facility. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in vehicle and light construction equipment operation required. Must have a valid driver's license and Class B commercial driver's license or have the ability to obtain said license within six months of employment.
