Compensation:

Overview Our client is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, supporting inventory and purchasing activities, and helping improve procurement processes across the organization. Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities across raw materials, MRO items, office supplies, and operational purchasing needs Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain ERP/MRP system data accuracy and purchasing records Support inventory management and help ensure proper stock levels are maintained Analyze purchasing and supply chain data to support forecasting and operational planning Partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams Assist with RFQs, sourcing projects, and cost reduction initiatives Help improve procurement processes and contribute to operational efficiency efforts Qualifications 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturing ERP/MRP system experience required; Sage experience preferred Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills Analytical mindset with strong Excel and data management capabilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience within industrial manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or process manufacturing environments is a plus Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus but not required
