Job Description

Forever Cabinets, a division of Kendrick, Inc., is looking for a self-motivated, skilled, hardworking Craftsman / Cabinet Maker/ Moulder Operator/ Delivery Specialist to join our custom cabinet manufacturing team in Edgewood, IA. Ideally, we are looking for a woodworker with experience in a production cabinet or furniture shop environment. Duties and Responsibilities Build high quality functional cabinets. Interpret & read shop drawings and blueprints, to understand requirements. Follow work plans. Use woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape and assemble cabinets and components. Use of various millwork machinery including table saws, bandsaw, sanders, hand tools, wood glue, screws, dowels and other fasteners to complete the project. Repair or refinish wood furniture or cabinets for customers. Construct cabinets using various joinery techniques such as dovetail. Maintain a safe and clean workspace Perform other duties as assigned Skills Proven experience as a cabinet maker or carpenter, with a portfolio of completed projects. Proficient in woodworking techniques, tools and machinery. Precision in measurements, cuts and assembly to ensure high-quality craftmanship. Ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions. Experience with power tool operation (chop saw, table saw, sanders, drills etc.) Willingness to learn and complete tasks correctly. Ability to listen and take directions to complete tasks in a timely manner. Excellent math skills. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while keeping great attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with designers and other team members effectively. Must have pride in work completed. Highly motivated and high level of initiative; confidence to work independently and with a team, in support of project goals and objectives. Work well individually and as a member of a team. Job Qualifications Preferred 2 years' experience in custom cabinetry and or furniture building Ability to learn quickly. Must have a positive attitude. Ability to communicate effectively. Willingness to learn and complete tasks correctly. Must have pride in work completed. Work 40 hours per week. Strong record of reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Excellent problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail. Resourceful go-getter attitude with desire for career advancement and increased responsibility. Knowledge of various wood species and characteristics.
