Job Description

Job Overview Forever Cabinets is part of Kendrick, Inc. We are seeking an experienced Cabinets Finisher (spray booth) to work with other team members to meet company goals. Pay based on experience. Forever Cabinets is one of five companies in Edgewood that is under the Kendrick, Inc. brand of family owned and operated businesses which also includes Kendrick Forest Products which is the largest producing sawmill in Iowa. Duties and Responsibilities Apply coatings such as stains, paints, and varnishes using a variety of methods. Collaborate with designers and cabinet makers to produce an exceptional product. Use air assisted spray guns to seal and topcoat products. Prepare wood surfaces, ensuring they are free from imperfections. Quality control and inspection to make sure all inconsistencies are touched up to ensure a flawless final product. Collaborate closely with supervisor to expedite workflow. Maintain a safe and clean workspace. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Knowledge of various staining, painting, and other techniques to achieve the desired appearance. Proficient in using hand tools for cabinet finishing. Attention to detail, ensuring even and consistent application to enhance the aesthetic appeal to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. Ability to color match to product specification. Willingness to learn and complete tasks correctly. Basic knowledge of calculations and measurements. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while paying great attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively. Must have pride in the work completed. Highly motivated and elevated level of initiative; confidence to work independently and with a team, in support of project goals and objectives. Strong record of reliable attendance and punctuality. Knowledge of various wood species and characteristics.

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
