Job Description

Camp Lincoln for Boys is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while being part of a meaningful, youth-focused environment. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for campers and staff, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:
(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.)Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including proteins, vegetables, and scratch-made items, in a high-volume camp settingFollow established recipes, portioning, and presentation standardsEnsure meals are prepared efficiently to meet scheduled service timesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workstationUphold all food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring an inspection-ready kitchen at all timesAssist with product storage, inventory organization, and kitchen operationsSupport team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environmentPerform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and consistencyExcellent time management and teamwork skillsFlexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasksAbility to read labels and follow safety procedures
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen (camp, resort, school, or restaurant experience preferred)Experience with batch cooking and/or feeding large groups is a plusFood safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Valid drivers license may be required for certain duties
