Campers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our programs designed for fun, fitness, friendship and learning. Camp Tanager was voted Coolest Camp in Iowa in 2016 by The Philadelphia Inquirer for our unique and expansive program offerings. Why Camp Tanager? We are a 34 acre purpose-built campsite with wooded areas, trails and a creek to explore. Age appropriate STEAM programs are incorporated into our weekly camp activity schedule. Swimming, snorkeling and water aerobics are a few ways our campers enjoy the pool on a daily basis. Fun activities include archery, basketball, soccer, gaga ball, volleyball, group games, arts, crafts and more! Convenient weekly payroll The rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour Job Details The Camp Lifeguard will be responsible for the coordination of pool activities and for basic pool maintenance. This position will monitor activities and direct scanning of the swimming pool and adjacent areas to prevent injuries, accidents or drownings. Also, lifeguards will attempt to modify dangerous campers' behaviors and enforce all pool rules and regulations by strongly and quickly addressing behaviors.
