Campers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our programs designed for fun, fitness, friendship and learning. Camp Tanager was voted Coolest Camp in Iowa in 2016 by The Philadelphia Inquirer for our unique and expansive program offerings. Why Camp Tanager? We are a 34 acre purpose-built campsite with wooded areas, trails and a creek to explore. Age appropriate STEAM programs are incorporated into our weekly camp activity schedule. Swimming, snorkeling and water aerobics are a few ways our campers enjoy the pool on a daily basis. Fun activities include archery, basketball, soccer, gaga ball, volleyball, group games, arts, crafts and more! As a member of the American Camp association, Camp Tanager follows strict rules and regulations put in place to help protect campers and provide a safe environment for all participants. Job Details The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital support role in ensuring the daily operations of the kitchen run smoothly and efficiently. This position focuses on non-machinery related food preparation tasks, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and assisting the culinary team with general duties. The Kitchen Assistant contributes to creating a safe, organized, and welcoming kitchen environment in alignment with health regulations and facility standards.
