Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver in an Assisted Living community, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents. Your energy and positive attitude will help foster a warm, engaging atmosphere that supports residents' well-being and dignity. This position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving expertise while making a lasting impact on the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication administration records (MAR) Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing memory care techniques to support residents' cognitive needs Support residents with assisted living activities, encouraging social engagement and participation in community events Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems to document care activities, health updates, and incident reports Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met Support residents' emotional well-being through active listening, social interaction, and behavior management strategies Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings in compliance with safety protocols Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring is essential Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes Ability to assist with ADLs and use mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely Working knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Valid driver's license for driving residents when necessary; clean driving record preferred Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards seniors and individuals with special needs Join us to provide exceptional care that enriches lives! $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
