Supportive and Collaborative environment. What you will be Doing - BCC Carpenters are involved in both structural and finish carpentry : 1. Framing (Structural Work) Building the skeleton of the house: walls, floors, and roof systems Working with engineered lumber, steel connectors, and complex layouts Following detailed architectural plans (often custom-designed homes) 2. High-End Finish Carpentry - This is where luxury homes really stand out. Installing custom trim, crown molding, and baseboards Building coffered ceilings , wainscoting, and paneling Precision work with tight tolerances (no gaps, perfect alignment) Using premium materials like hardwoods, veneers, and specialty finishes 3. Doors, Windows, and Staircases Installing high-end doors (solid wood, oversized, custom hardware) Precise window installation for both aesthetics and energy efficiency Crafting or assembling custom staircases (a major focal point in luxury homes) 4. Blueprint Interpretation & Collaboration Reading complex architectural drawings and shop drawings Making on-the-spot adjustments to meet design intent 5. Custom Built-Ins & Millwork - as you advance, Designing and installing: Bookshelves Entertainment centers Walk-in closets Window seats Tools & Techniques Advanced tools: laser levels, precision saws, routers, CNC-cut components Hand tools for fine detail work Knowledge of joinery techniques (dovetail, mortise & tenon, etc.) What We're Looking For Strong math and measurement accuracy High attention to detail Craftsmanship mindset (quality over speed) Working to Master skills in rough and finish carpentry Learning to read blueprints and specifications.
