Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience for every customer. In this energetic role, you'll handle transactions efficiently, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a welcoming store environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales and ensure smooth daily operations in our grocery store setting. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process customer purchases and returns Assist customers with product questions, including product demos when applicable Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including cash, credit, and digital payments Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising efforts, including stock rotation and inventory checks Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting remotely or over the phone Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude.
