Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Cage Vault Clerk is responsible for handling all financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism while providing excellent customer service to casino guests and team members. This individual will work as both a casino cashier and vault clerk as scheduled. This position requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with all gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cashier:
Provide exceptional customer services and addressing guest needs promptly and professionally. Responsible for making currency exchanges, cashing out gaming machine tickets, and cashing personal checks for casino guest. Verify, balance, and reconcile transactions at the beginning and end of each shift. Process credit card advances and check cashing according to policy for casino guest. Must adhere to MTL, SAR, and CTR reporting requirements.
Vault:
Responsible for performing all transactions involving the movement, verification, balancing, and safeguarding of casino funds within the vault. Accurately count, verify, and record all monetary transactions in and out of the vault. Maintain, replenish, and perform fund drops for casino kiosks, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with cash handling procedures. Assist with the preparation and verification of bank deposits, change orders, and currency shipments. Issue and receive employee banks, cash, checks, and other negotiable instruments to/from cage cashiers, slot departments, and other authorized personnel. Balance vault funds at the beginning and end of each shift; investigate and reconcile variances promptly. Maintain proper records, logs, and documentation of all transactions in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Ensure the security and integrity of all funds, keys, and access to the vault. Communicate effectively with management, auditors, and other departments regarding discrepancies, compliance, or procedural issues. Provide excellent internal customer service to departments while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Adhere strictly to Title 31, gaming regulations, and company internal controls. Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required. Maintains a professional work environment with casino guests, management, and staff. Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job. Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality. Performs all other tasks or duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment. High school diploma or its equivalent required. Previous cash-handling, cage, or banking experience is strongly preferred. Strong mathematical skill and attention to detail. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must have the ability to deal effectively with and interact well with others. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the OGC. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 25lbs. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour
