CDL Class A Truck Driver - Construction Site Fort Dodge, IA 50501 CDL Truck Driver - Construction Site The Class A CDL Driver will primarily be responsible for safely transporting construction materials and equipment to the job site location. This position is also responsible for performing daily vehicle inspections, assisting with loading and unloading, maintaining and performing basic maintenance on the vehicle.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES

Drive commercial vehicles to transport tools, supplies, and other materials from designated laydown area to the jobsite Load, secure, and unload tools, materials, supplies, and heavy equipment Operate forklifts, manlifts, boom trucks, etc. for the purposes of loading and unloading trucks Wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, high visibility clothing, gloves, and steel toed boots at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, log defects, and perform basic truck/equipment upkeep. Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities Interact professionally with customers and other employees at various locations Assist on construction site as needed and requested by the Project Superintendent Assist with building and grounds maintenance as requested Adhere strictly to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations Operate vehicle in a safe manner; obeying all federal, state, and local traffic laws and posted speed limits at all times

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years' experience Clean Driving Record and insurability High school diploma or GED required Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical examination

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Energetic, self-starter and willing to learn Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, aerial lifts etc. Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work Ability to complete paper and digital forms and reports Must be able to effectively read and interpret information Ability to work successfully as a team and independently with moderate supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds for long periods of time Coordinate eye-hand movements with control and precision Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl Climb and maintain body balance on ladders and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction) Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time Pass DOT medical exam

WORKING CONDITIONS

May be exposed to fumes, dust or other airborne particles, and loud noises on a heavy industrial construction site May be exposed to extreme outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity

OTHER:

Travel may be required. Must be willing to travel and work from project sites on a nationwide basis for long periods of time Some overtime, shiftwork, holidays and weekends may be required.
