CDL Driver - Blower Truck Driver/Operator

The Blower Truck Driver/Operator is responsible for the daily transportation, DELIVERY and

INSTALLATION

of engineered wood fibers, landscaping mulch, compost and bedding mixes. You will be assigned a helper to assist in the delivery and installation processes. This is NOT an OTR position. You must be able to drive manual transmission!

This position is mostly local to the DFW and North Central Texas area but may require some occasional travel which may include overnight stays out of town. Hotel and per diem are provided for overnight stays at out of town job locations. Work day begins at our Gunter, TX location.

Position Main Responsibilities:

Deliver and Install loads, operating truck over urban or rural areas. Operate the blower system in the truck to install product. Record amount and type of product. Conduct Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections. Exercise good customer service when required to Interact with customers. Report mechanical issues with the truck or the blower system to the appropriate shop personnel. Keep truck and all associated equipment clean and in good working order. Manage logs and records as per DOT regulations. Inspect freight and vehicle for compliance with regulations. Maintain a safe work environment. Report accidents and violations.

Requirements:

Class A CDL Driver's License. Clean Motor vehicle record (MVR). •Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles .• Verifiable previous 2 year driving employment History. Ability to work with time restraints and deadlines. High School Diploma or GED required. The ability to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills is essential. Detail oriented with focus on results. Must be able to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions :

The overall nature of this position requires you to be outdoors a majority of the time, with physical exertion and physical effort required. Driver must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a truck/vehicle. The frequent physical demands of the position are being able to lift 25 lbs., standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and eye/hand/foot coordination. Occasional physical demands of the position are talking, hearing and repetitive hand motions. This position requires more than just driving, labor work is required.
