CDL School Bus Driver

Overview Jireh Transportation is seeking a dedicated and responsible CDL Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for our passengers, which may include children with/without special needs. As a Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all passengers are transported to their destinations safely and on time while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safety of passengers by conducting pre-trip inspections and monitoring vehicle performance. Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support as needed. Communicate effectively with passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during transit. Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, ensuring a pleasant environment for all riders. Manage behavior on the bus, ensuring that all passengers follow safety protocols and guidelines. Document any incidents or issues that arise during transportation and report them to the appropriate authorities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and routes effectively. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Valid CDL License Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience in senior care or childcare is preferred but not mandatory. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to write reports and document incidents clearly and accurately. Experience in behavior management is beneficial for maintaining order on the bus. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
