Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, manage dental procedures efficiently, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all patients. Your skills in medical documentation, infection control, and dental technology will contribute to delivering top-tier general and pediatric dentistry services. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Provide vital signs monitoring and basic medical assessments to support overall patient health during visits. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient intake processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, HIPAA regulations, and infection control protocols to ensure compliance and safety. Requirements Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with experience in general dentistry; pediatric dentistry experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, medical terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control practices. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely. Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient confidentiality. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating patients about procedures. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 32.0 per week
