Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Medical Assistant who has a strong desire to help patients. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to follow directions, take initiative, and balance managing many tasks at once. The successful candidate must also have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, a thorough understanding of various medical processes and the ability to efficiently and accurately complete all administrative tasks required for the role.
Responsibilities:
Provide and document care to patients according to medical protocols, laws, and standards of practice. Adhere to infection control standards. Communicate with other medical staff and private physicians. Communicate and engage with patients, family members, and other healthcare workers. Use basic medical equipment such as stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximeters. Perform preventive health care procedures; such as administering vaccines, raising/lofting/sliding a patient's bed, or cleaning a patient's room. Perform diagnostic procedures such as taking vital signs or removing stitches. Assist clients with personal hygiene issues such as bathing., feeding, grooming, dressing and mobility. Bilingual is preferred.
