Nursing Assistant Job Description Las Cruces Village is looking for C.N.As!!!! Come join our wonderful team for skilled nursing care. Dayshift & Nightshift Avaliable Job Summary The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and teaching hospitals. This position involves assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their health status, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Assist in mobility and transportation of patients within the facility. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns. Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks. Support emergency medicine procedures as needed during critical situations. Engage in ongoing education regarding medical terminology and best practices in patient care. Skills Proficiency in patient care techniques and protocols. Familiarity with electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to nursing practices. Experience working in long-term care settings or hospitals is preferred. Ability to provide compassionate care to diverse populations, including geriatrics and children. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. Capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures in emergency medicine situations.
