Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our patients across various care settings. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Support clinical staff with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic life support when necessary Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management Help with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility aids to promote independence and safety Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure accurate medical documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home care environments Skills Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care, hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), hospice, or behavioral health settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, aseptic technique, and infection control practices such as infectious disease care Skilled in patient service tasks like medication administration, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and use of EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks Experience with specialized populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring dementia or memory care Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform emergency procedures like basic life support efficiently Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, post-acute care protocols, outpatient services, urgent care environments, and home & community care settings Strong communication skills to effectively document patient records and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance Join us in delivering compassionate patient-centered care that transforms lives!
