Charge Nurse - RN - Nights

Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee patient care and nursing staff in our healthcare facility. The Charge Nurse will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes while managing daily operations within the unit. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient settings and possess knowledge in various areas including infectious disease care, emergency medicine, and pain management. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members. Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and treatments. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team. Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Facilitate effective communication among staff members, patients, and families. Manage emergency situations effectively while maintaining a calm environment. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and in the state of GA. Current BLS certification. ACLS certification or within 3 months of employment. PALS certification within 6 months of employment is preferred. Minimum one (1) year of work experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred.
