Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions across various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and emergency environments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and respiratory function tests to determine treatment needs. Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator management for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Manage and operate advanced ventilator systems and other respiratory equipment in critical care units like ICU and PICU. Assist with airway management procedures during emergencies or surgical interventions in the operating room. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions. Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjust treatments accordingly, and document all interventions accurately in medical records. Provide education to patients and families about respiratory health, medication administration, and post-discharge care strategies. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist from an accredited program. Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU, or trauma centers—preferably Level I or Level II trauma centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory care. Hands-on experience with ventilators, airway management techniques, and critical care equipment. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Experience working in inpatient settings with acute care needs; outpatient or clinic experience is a plus. Familiarity with hospital protocols for medication administration and vital signs monitoring across diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
