Credit Union Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $400 million credit union in the search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the credit union's financial and compliance functions. This role ensures the organization's financial strength, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting continued growth and innovation.Responsibilities:
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support organizational growth and decision-making. Develop, implement, and evaluate financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives. Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and internal controls. Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Lead the annual budgeting process, including budget development, monitoring, and performance tracking. Monitor financial performance, key ratios, and trends while recommending strategies for improvement. Participate in loan and deposit pricing strategy decisions. Oversee investment portfolio management and provide strategic investment guidance. Lead asset-liability management (ALM) strategies to optimize earnings and manage interest rate risk. Chair ALCO meetings, including scenario modeling and strategic recommendations. Ensure adequate liquidity and capital planning to maintain strong financial performance and net worth ratios. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including NCUA and state regulatory requirements. Oversee enterprise compliance programs, internal controls, and policy administration.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred. 7-10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within a credit union or community financial institution. Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple functional areas, including Finance and Compliance; IT oversight experience preferred. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, ALM, investment management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Experience presenting financial information and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and Boards of Directors. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
