Childcare Co Director

Position Overview The Co-Director provides leadership and oversight for the FOCUS, PreK and Early Childhood Education programs developed in the center. This role ensures a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children, families, and staff. The Co-Director oversees compliance with state licensing requirements, supports and coaches the staff, and collaborates with administrative leadership to align center. Director Responsibilities (Shared with another Co-Director) Supervise, support, and encourage the teaching team Maintain accurate and confidential student and staff files, including background checks and training certificates Ensure compliance with licensing regulations Track staff training Demonstrate knowledge of FOCUS and Prek programs Ensure the center is operating in accordance with the FOCUS and Prek program Oversee required health and immunization reporting Hire, onboard, and mentor new staff members Communicate effectively with families through emails, newsletters, and conferences as needed Partner with the Admissions Office on new family interviews Collaborate with the other ECECD programs Work with the Finance Officer in staying in budget Review, select, and support curriculum development for all classrooms, including the preschool classroom Approve staff time-off requests and manage payroll-related items Maintain and manage a substitute teacher list Support teachers in identifying student needs and collaborate with other programs and family members Encourage staff policies and procedures with staff Demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices Qualifications Candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. CDA, associate, or bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with FOCUS and the PreK program in either an administration or classroom setting Required Ongoing Training for ECECD and PreK program

Pay:

$25.50 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
