Competitive salary based on experience About the Position We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Childcare Director to manage the daily operations of two thriving early childhood education centers—one serving more than 150 children and another serving approximately 50 children. Both locations are conveniently situated just minutes from one another in Glenwood and Glenelg, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic leader who excels in a fast-paced, child-focused environment and is dedicated to fostering strong, positive relationships with staff, families, and the surrounding community. Responsibilities Supervise the daily operations, licensing compliance, and overall quality standards at both childcare centers. Lead, mentor, and support educators and administrative team members across both locations. Oversee enrollment, staffing, and communication with families to ensure an exceptional experience for every child. Ensure compliance with all Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care regulations. Partner with administrators and teaching staff to implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and programming. Monitor budgets, inventory, supplies, and operational requirements for both centers. Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field required (Master's degree preferred). Previous experience in a director-level role within a licensed childcare center or preschool setting is required. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong understanding of MSDE licensing regulations and best practices in child development. Ability to effectively balance and manage responsibilities across two separate locations.
