Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks. As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll ensure timely deliveries, load and unload cargo with precision, and maintain excellent safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving will help us meet customer expectations while enjoying a rewarding career on the road. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Drive on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Manage freight delivery schedules, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs across multiple locations. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. Assist with special equipment handling such as refrigerated loads or tanker operations when required. Follow safety protocols diligently to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for tanker or hazmat if applicable. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar large commercial vehicles; delivery driver experience is highly valued. Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks preferred but not mandatory. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Experience with flatbed loads, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or roll-off trucks is desirable. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload processes. Excellent route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently across urban and rural areas. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or using equipment; capable of lifting heavy items safely. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
