Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary Holy Cross Academy is seeking a dependable and caring Classroom Aide to support teachers in creating a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will assist with classroom instruction, help maintain a structured and respectful atmosphere, and support the academic and personal growth of students. Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities, including small-group and individual support.
  • Help maintain a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Prepare classroom materials, organize supplies, and assist with routine tasks.
  • Support students with varying learning needs under the direction of the teacher.
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times.
  • Encourage positive behavior and reinforce classroom expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to support daily classroom operations. Job Requirements
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, reliability, and a positive, student-centered attitude.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Holy Cross Academy.
