Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to support a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA. This contract position requires a skilled pharmacist to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Location:

Alexandria, LA Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule including early mornings, days, and evenings (6AM-4:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 12:30PM-11PM) Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities:

Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and patient care Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication dosing Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems effectively

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Current pharmacist licensure appropriate for practice in Louisiana Strong clinical and hospital pharmacy experience Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred Excellent communication and team collaboration skills BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) This is a 13-week contract position with an immediate start date.
