MAU is hiring a CMM Technician for our client in Piedmont, SC. As a CMM Technician, you will inspect parts, analyze measurement data, and support quality and production processes using coordinate measuring equipment. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of CMM experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED preferred
Bachelor Degree preferred

Avoid modifying or bypassing safety-related systems on equipment or machinery
Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to leadership immediately
Report accidents, incidents, or near-misses and complete required reporting forms within 24 hours
Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating equipment or machinery
Promote a safe workplace by correcting unsafe behaviors and reducing hazardous conditions
Respond proactively to health and safety concerns or suggestions
Interpret, modify, and maintain measurement policies and procedures
Perform monthly terminal gain/loss analysis and investigate measurement discrepancies
Inspect stamped parts to verify hole locations, contour measurements, and shapes meet blueprint specifications and tolerances using coordinate measuring machines
Align parts with measurement points and analyze projected enlargement to confirm tolerance compliance
Configure and create software programs based on blueprint/CAD dataset specifications
Compare measurement readings to chart and blueprint specifications and calculate variances
Analyze CMM reports and provide feedback to production and process engineers to improve processes
Record inspection data and interpret findings for supervisory personnel
Operate coordinate measuring machines with spotting and scribbling devices to locate and mark tools, gauges, fixtures, and die blanks
Drive measurement improvements, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work with other departments
Perform other duties as required
Physical Demands
Perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours per day
Lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis
Stand or walk on an infrequent basis
Maintain good close-distance vision
Perform repetitive motion above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours per day
