Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and medical offices. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Provide support in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following aseptic techniques
• Assist with mobility and transfers of patients to ensure their safety
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition
• Support patients emotionally by providing companionship and encouragement Skills
• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient-centered care
• Familiarity with acute care practices and critical care environments
• Proficient in aseptic technique to prevent infection during patient care
• Understanding of physiology to better assist in patient assessments and care planning
• Experience in long-term care facilities is an advantage
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism
• Listening to patient needs with patience, show compassion and master self-control in order to best handle protocols in timely and orderly manner.
