CNC Lathe Machinist - 1st Shift - 4 day work week

Renco Machine Company is a family-owned job shop located in Green Bay and has been dedicated to the precision machining of custom components since its inception in 1963. We are looking for a 1st Shift Machinists to operate a Horizontal Lathe. This position will work Monday through Thursday 5am - 3pm, Friday optional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate advanced ability to set up, program and operate a Horizontal Lathe. Position includes loading programs, tool setting, making needed adjustments to programs and offsets to ensure finished parts meet specifications. Perform in process checks to make certain that the parts run efficiently and accurately. Studies blueprints and manufacturing orders and organizes materials and tools for next run during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time. Works with appropriate personnel in production control, inspection, supervisors and other employees to resolve job related problems such as tooling and blueprint specifications. Removes burrs, sharp edges and clean parts. Study programs, blueprints, manufacturing drawings, tool sheets and manufacturing orders to verify they are correct and fill out proper paper work when changes are necessary. Education and/or

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year operating a CNC Lathe and a technical degree is preferred. A high school degree or equivalency is preferred. Must possess solid blueprint reading skills, strong math skills, and in-process inspection skills and understand both metric and English measurements. Must be proficient at using micrometers, dial calipers, height gauge, shop gauges, depth gauges and dial indicators to indicate parts and verify dimensions of a work piece. Understand tooling and offsets. Must be able to maintain tolerance and finishes to engineering and manufacturing specifications. While hoists are provided to assist with lifting, you must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
