Job Title:

CNC Machinist Job Description Operate CNC lathes and mills with an emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Work within a unionized environment. Setup and operate CNC lathes or mills using existing programs and making necessary tooling changes. Edit existing programs or tooling as required. Install tooling and setup CNC machines as needed. Make offset changes on CNC equipment. Conduct start-up inspection of equipment and tools. Proficiently use calibrated measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Skillfully use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hex and torx. Work cohesively within a team environment, participating in HPT, audits, and daily huddles. Complete thorough quality production documents, including First Article Inspection (FAI), Day by Hour Reports, and audits, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience with lathe machines and mill machining. High school diploma or equivalent certification from an accredited school or program. Minimum of 2 years working in a related field. Strong math skills, including trigonometry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferably knowledge of Okuma or related CNC programmable mills and lathes. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work shift is from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with the requirement to be open to flexible hours and weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, CA.
