CNC Machinist

CNC & Manual Machinist - (Aerospace Manufacturing) Role Overview Join a high‑tech aerospace team machining hydraulic and actuation components. You'll run a wide range of equipment, work with aerospace‑grade metals, and hold tolerances down to the thousandth. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC & manual lathes, mills, grinders, and hobs Machine raw materials into precision parts (small components to large cylinders) Read blueprints and engineering specs to plan machining steps Work with stainless, titanium, aluminum, and mild steel Hold tight tolerances and verify quality with micrometers, calipers, gauges Apply G‑code knowledge across multiple CNC controls Optimize feeds/speeds, adjust tooling, and troubleshoot issues Use SPC and VIP for quality checks Cross‑train and collaborate to solve machining challenges Skills CNC setup/operation experience Manual machining skills Blueprint reading and precision measurement proficiency Ability to hold tight tolerances Mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving, and attention to detail Willingness to work 3rd shift after training CNC programming or G‑code editing Experience with both mills and lathes DNC systems (e.g., Predator) Aerospace machining experience High‑mix, high‑precision environment exposure Why You'll Love It Work on critical aerospace components Access to 70+ machines (manual + advanced CNC) Shift premium for 3rd shift Medical, dental, vision, PTO 401(k) with company contribution Real advancement and cross‑training opportunities Work Environment Large aerospace facility producing hydraulic/actuation cylinders Fast‑paced, safety‑focused, precision‑driven Equipment ranges from Bridgeports to modern CNC systems
